Hi Today I will talk about changes that could be made to my study program.  Recently in psychology a change to the curriculum was implemented. I am still in the old format and clearly there were things that did not work well, but I think that with the new curriculum they have been solved.  I think there are some areas that are more demanding than others and that happens in all careers. Even so, I think that our professors in general have been quite considerate in terms of the academic load in the pandemic context.  They have also been able to adapt their teaching techniques to virtual classes, but I think there is still a long way to go. Also, they have to understand that it is impossible to study all the contents that we used to see before, because the context has changed and being in online classes is extremely different from the face-to-face format. In this sense, I think there is still a long way to go in this area, but no one has the right answer because we are...

I don't think I have ever pictured myself traveling to an unknown future, because it seems to me an impossible and distant idea, but I do think a lot about the things that could happen in the following generations.  I have always wondered what is going to happen to the world, if the human race is really going to continue to exist, if we are going to become extinct or if our planet is simply not going to support any more. There are many movies and theories around the end of the world, so I would like to travel to a future (hopefully very very far away) where I can see if the world really ended or not.  I can't put an exact date to this hypothetical event, but I hope it will be in infinite more years. Even more, I hope it won't happen, but for that we have to make changes in the present, stop exploiting our resources, pay atention to urgent issues such as climate change, intersectional oppressions suffered by some subjects and all those problems that this system has brought u...

I'm still not really sure what I want to do in the future, but I think the area of psychology that most appeals to me is clinical, although always from a social approach. And the line I like the most is psychoanalysis, because its conception of subjectivity makes a lot of sense to me, besides, it has a relevant political impact. I picture myself working with women and people from the LGTBIQ+ community, because it is a reality very close to me, although I do not close myself to the possibilities. I would like to be part of an NGO or organization that allows me to work together with other people, I do not see myself working alone in a private practice.  Given the characteristics of clinical psychology, I think that traveling constantly is not a good idea, because you have to maintain regular contact with the people you see. Of course, all this is thought of a world without pandemic, where consultations no longer have to be necessarily telematic. The salary is not the most impor...

Hello everyone! Today I will talk about one of my favorite artists and my musical tastes.   My favorite singer is Alex Anwandter. He is a Chilean artist with a long career, but in recent years he has become more famous. He is a singer-songwriter and producer.  I like him because he is an activist for the LGTBQ+ community and brings issues of historically marginalized groups to the table. He has also played an active role in the Chilean popular uprising. In essence, his lyrics have political content.  He was in a band called "Teleradio Donoso", but in 2010 he started a solo career. As a soloist, he has four albums: "Odisea", "Rebeldes", "Amiga" and "Latinoamericana". It's hard to choose one, but I think "Rebeldes" is my favorite, especially the song called "Shanana".  I have a very mixed musical taste, I like Rock, Pop, Alternative Rock, New Age, R&B, but I also like Salsa and Cumbia haha. I think it's my...

During my time in school, I got interested in math and exact sciences, but then I met the field of Humanities in school and I got very interested in it. Nevertheless, I didn't know what to study. So, I decided to enter into a Baccalaureate Academic Program, with the purpose of make up my mind and asses alternatives of careers. I finally decided to study Psychology, because I was very interested in the field of subjectivity. Further, people I love and I haven't had a happy experience with psychologists and psychiatrists, so I wanted to help people with their issues in a good way. In all my academic life, I've had a really big vocational crisis, and I think that I'm still trapped here. However, the career I chose allows me combine the theory and the practice in one discipline, I think this is the reason I finally picked it. I like the subject of Critical psychology because allows to question a lot of problems, and issues that are taken for granted within the discipline. I...

Hi everyone, Today I'm going to talk about the best concert I've ever been to: David Gilmour in Santiago of Chile.  This concert was in December 2015 in the National Stadium of Chile, I remember it was on a very sunny day and the lines to get in was really long.  David Gilmour is an English musician who was a member of Pink Floyd, is an important figure in the history of rock music. He is an amazing guitar player and singer. He came to Chile as a soloist in his Rattle that lock tour, with 69 years in his body.  I went to this concert with my dad, who has been a fan of Pink Floyd his whole life and passed on his music taste. We could share a beautiful moment together, and I think this is the reason why it was an awesome concert, besides the opportunity to appreciate the great talent of Gilmour.  The atmosphere of the concert was very calm. Gilmour doesn't need much paraphernalia to dazzle, with his guitar and voice was enough. It was the best live sound I have ever ...

Hi everyone! I would like to visit Germany someday. Maybe is not my favorite country, but one of my favorites things to do is eat and this place would be perfect for that.   Germany is like a vegan paradise. In this country, you can find all the plant-based food that you can imagine, specifically in Berlin, where the grocery stores have so many options that we can't find in Chile. Also, Germany has a long tradition of beer production, they have innumerable types of beers, and I'd like to taste all of them.  Besides the great food and beer, Germany has a lot of beautiful places to visit. This country is famous for its green areas, in fact, people say that Germany is the green lung of Europe.  I wouldn't like to live in Germany, because I think the language is very hard to learn. I just would like to visit this place and eat and drink all that I can.  Thanks for reading, regards!
